- - I was surprised to receive a call from Chennai from my old friend, the well-known artist Adimoolam. I spontaneously accepted his request of writing an ‘appreciation’ for a forthcoming publication on this drawings. I would not usually do this, so I have to ask myself why I acceded to his invitation so easily. Was it perhaps, because it gave me the chance to explore what has always intrigued me – especially his shift from realism to the abstract id
